Step-by-step

Remove the rear cover
2 minInsert a plastic opening tool into the notch on the bottom edge of the back cover. Gently pry upward to unclip and remove the cover from the device.

Extract the battery
1 minUse your fingernail or a spudger at the bottom recessed slot to lift the battery out of its housing. Set the battery aside safely.

Eject SIM and microSD cards
2 minSlide the SIM card and microSD card out of their respective tray slots with your thumb. Storing them in a dry place prevents card damage.

Inspect circuit board

Air-dry the motherboard

Reinstall the motherboard
