Safety
- Wear eye protection when heating or prying glass and plastic panels.
- Disconnect the battery press connector immediately after opening the device to avoid short circuits.
- Do not puncture or bend the internal lithium-ion battery while prying near it.

Step-by-step

Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before starting.

Remove SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM card tray. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

Heat Rear Panel
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the edges of the back cover for 2 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the panel.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Pull up gently on the ring to create a slight gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert it more than 3 millimeters.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the back panel to separate the adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick encounters resistance.

Remove Rear Cover
1 minCarefully lift the rear cover off the phone frame. Place it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew Motherboard Cover
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper midframe cover. Keep track of all removed screws.

Remove Motherboard Cover
2 minInsert a plastic spudger beneath the motherboard bracket edge and unclip it. Lift the bracket off the chassis.

Disconnect Battery Press Connector
1 minPry the battery flex cable directly up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. Never use metal tools on battery connectors.

Disconnect Display and Sub-Board Flexes
2 minUse a spudger to pop off the display flex connector and the main interconnect flex connector from the motherboard.

Remove Camera Modules
3 minDisconnect the front-facing and rear camera press connectors. Lift the camera modules out of their motherboard sockets.

Disconnect RF Antenna Cables
2 minGently pry up the coaxial antenna cable heads from the logic board using fine tweezers.

Remove Board Standoff Screws
2 minUnscrew the remaining Phillips screws holding the logic board down to the phone frame.

Lift Out Logic Board
2 minInsert a flat spudger under the bottom corner of the logic board and carefully lift it out of the chassis.
