Step-by-step

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole next to the SIM tray on the side of the Moto G34. Press firmly to eject the tray and pull it completely out of the device.

Heat the Back Panel
2 minApply heat to the rear edges of the phone using a heat gun on low power for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear panel and press down to create a tight seal.

Slice the Back Cover Adhesive
4 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the perimeter adhesive.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minGently lift the back cover clear of the chassis and set it aside on your clean workspace mat.

Unscrew the Upper Midframe
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic motherboard frame.

Detach the Midframe Bracket
2 minInsert a plastic spudger beneath the edge of the upper midframe and pry gently to release the clips holding it in place.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the battery press connector straight up off the logic board.

Disconnect Display and Main Flex Cables
2 minPry up the press connectors for the display flex cable and the interconnect board cable using your spudger.

Unplug Antenna Coaxial Cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to pry up the coaxial antenna cables attached near the side edge of the board.

Remove the Logic Board Standoff Screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips #00 screw anchoring the logic board to the inner chassis.

Lift Out the Old Logic Board
2 minLever a plastic spudger under the bottom corner of the motherboard and lift it carefully out of the frame.

Transfer Camera Modules
3 minDisconnect the front and rear camera connectors from the old logic board and transfer them to the new board.

Install the Replacement Logic Board
2 minLower the replacement logic board into the phone frame and press gently until it snaps flat into position.
