Safety

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray to pop it out.

Heat Rear Cover
2 minApply heat from a heat gun along the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward firmly to form a small gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the seam created between the back cover and the frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minGlided the opening pick around all four edges of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

Lift Back Cover
2 minCarefully tilt open the back cover from the side, taking care not to strain the fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect Fingerprint Reader
1 minUse a spudger to snap the fingerprint sensor flex cable off its motherboard connector.

2 minRemove the Phillips #000 screws holding the upper plastic protective cover in place.

1 minInsert a spudger under the lower speaker module and lift it out of the chassis.

Disconnect Daughterboard Interconnect Flex
1 minPry the main flex cable connector off the lower charging port daughterboard.

Disconnect Coaxial Antenna Cable
1 minUse fine tweezers to gently unclip the antenna cable from its socket on the daughterboard.

Remove Old Charging Port Board
2 minGently pry beneath the edge of the charging port sub-board and lift it out of the phone frame.

Install New Charging Port Board
2 minPlace the new daughterboard into the bottom cavity and press down until seated correctly.

Reconnect Antenna and Interconnect Cable
2 minSnap the coaxial antenna cable and main flex connector securely onto the new daughterboard.

Reinstall Speaker Housing
2 minSet the speaker module back in position and replace the Phillips #000 screws to secure it.

Reconnect Battery and Top Shield
2 minSnap the battery flex connector back in, replace the top plastic shield, and tighten its screws.

Seal Rear Cover
3 minReconnect the fingerprint cable, apply new adhesive to the perimeter, and press the back cover firmly onto the frame.
