Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone until the tray pops out. Remove the SIM tray completely from the device.

2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer evenly along the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward to create a slight gap.

Insert an Opening Pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and the phone frame.

Slice the Perimeter Adhesive
3 minGuide the pick slowly along all four edges of the back cover to slice through the softened adhesive.

Remove the Back Cover

2 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the lower speaker module to the chassis.

2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and gently lift it out.

Clean the Contact Area
1 minWipe the exposed contact pads on the lower board with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

Position the New Speaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker unit directly over the bottom housing recess and press it gently down into place.

Apply Back Cover Adhesive
3 minApply a thin layer of B-7000 adhesive or double-sided phone repair tape along the perimeter of the frame.

Reattach the Back Cover
2 minAlign the back panel with the frame and press firmly along all edges for one minute to ensure a complete seal.

Reinsert the SIM Tray
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush.
