   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole next to the SIM card tray on the left edge. Remove the SIM tray assembly completely from the device.

   Heat the back panel

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low setting to heat the outer edges of the rear panel for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the cover.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the warmed rear cover. Gently pull up on the ring to create a slight gap in the frame seam.

   Insert a plastic opening pick

   Slide the tip of a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created between the back panel and the frame.

   Slice through back cover adhesive

   Slide the pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to cut through adhesive strips and unlatch plastic retention clips.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the rear plastic cover off the chassis and set it aside in a clean area.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver from your precision set to remove the screws holding the top plastic motherboard bracket in place.

   Pry up the motherboard shield

   Insert the edge of a plastic spudger under the upper motherboard cover and lift it free from the housing.

   Pry up the battery flex connector directly from its motherboard socket using a plastic opening tool to cut off power.

    Apply heat evenly around the outer glass edges of the damaged front screen for three minutes to soften the display adhesive.

    Attach suction cup to screen

    Place the suction cup onto the lower portion of the glass display screen and lock it in place.

    Slice display perimeter adhesive

    Pull up on the suction cup and insert an opening pick under the glass, slicing slowly around all four edges.

    Separate the damaged screen assembly

    Pry the broken screen up from the metal frame, carefully threading the attached display flex cable out through the frame slot.

    Clean old display adhesive

    Use tweezers and a drop of isopropyl alcohol to scrape off remaining adhesive residue and glass shards from the frame perimeter.

    Apply fresh frame adhesive

    Lay down fresh, pre-cut adhesive strips along the inner perimeter recessed ledge of the phone frame.

    Thread new screen cable

    Feed the ribbon cable of the replacement Moto G24 screen through the frame slot from the front to the back side.

    Seat the replacement screen

    Align the replacement display carefully with the frame edges and press down gently around the borders to seat it into the adhesive.

    Connect the new display flex cable

    Press the display flex connector straight down onto its motherboard socket until it snaps firmly into place.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Reattach the battery flex cable to the motherboard socket using gentle thumb pressure.

    Reinstall internal covers and screws

    Place the upper motherboard shield and lower speaker module back into position, then secure all Phillips screws.
