   Power off the Moto G24

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it completely.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Use a heat gun on low power along the edges of the plastic back cover for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover. Pull upward with firm, constant pressure to create a small gap.

   Insert a plastic opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam opened by the suction cup at the bottom edge.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the phone to slice through the adhesive securing the back cover.

   Lift away the back cover

   Carefully lift the back cover straight off the chassis and set it aside.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the bottom speaker module over the charging board.

   Remove the speaker assembly

   Insert a plastic spudger under the lower speaker module and gently pry up to release it from the chassis.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the main interconnect ribbon connector straight up off the daughterboard.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Use precision tweezers to pry up the white coaxial antenna cable head from its snap connector on the daughterboard.

    Unfasten the daughterboard screw

    Remove the single Phillips screw anchoring the charging port daughterboard to the phone frame.

    Pry up the damaged charging board

    Insert an opening pick under the edges of the charging board and lift it out of the phone housing.

    Install the new charging board

    Align the replacement Moto G24 charging board into the bottom recess and press down firmly until seated.

    Secure the daughterboard screw

    Reinstall the small Phillips screw to hold the new charging board firmly against the chassis.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Position the coaxial antenna cable connector over its socket on the new board and press down gently until it clicks.

    Reconnect the main flex cable

    Align the interconnect flex cable connector directly over the board socket and press down until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall the lower speaker assembly

    Place the speaker housing back into position and tighten all of the Phillips screws to secure it.

    Apply new back cover adhesive

    Clean remaining glue with isopropyl alcohol, then apply new pre-cut adhesive tape along the perimeter of the frame.

    Reattach the back cover

    Align the back cover with the phone body and press around all outer edges to set the adhesive seal.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left edge until it sits completely flush.
