   Power off the Moto G24

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer along all four edges of the rear panel for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to back panel

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower third of the plastic back cover, near the bottom edge.

   Insert opening pick under back panel

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the back panel and frame. Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice through back panel adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom, sides, and top edges to separate the adhesive securing the cover.

   Remove the back panel

   Lift the rear panel away from the frame and set it aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew upper motherboard cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic motherboard bracket.

   Unscrew lower speaker assembly

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker housing at the bottom of the device.

    Pry off the motherboard cover

    Insert the flat tip of a spudger under the motherboard shield and gently unclip it from the frame.

    Remove the speaker module

    Use tweezers or a spudger to pry up and lift out the lower speaker housing.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Use a plastic spudger to pop the battery flex cable directly off its motherboard socket.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Pry up the main ribbon cable that overlays the battery to prevent damaging it during battery removal.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol to battery adhesive

    Drip a few drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery to weaken the glue underneath.

    Peel the battery pull-tabs

    Locate the battery pull-tab film, unpeel the clear tabs, and pull them steadily at a flat angle.

    Pry up the old battery

    Insert a plastic card or flat spudger underneath the battery to gently lever it out of the recess.

    Remove battery from phone body

    Lift the original battery completely out of the frame and place it on a non-conductive surface.

    Clean adhesive residue from housing

    Wipe away remaining glue from the battery compartment using a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Place new double-sided battery adhesive strips onto the floor of the frame housing.

    Seat the replacement battery

    Lower the new battery into the housing, alignment-checking the connector position, and press down firmly.

    Reconnect display and battery cables

    Snap the main flex cable and the battery cable back onto their respective motherboard press connectors.

    Reattach lower speaker module

    Position the speaker assembly over the bottom board and snap it into alignment.

    Secure upper motherboard cover

    Place the upper shield back on top of the motherboard and tighten all Phillips #000 screws.

    Clean frame perimeter

    Remove old glue residue from the outer lip of the frame using isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Lay down custom pre-cut adhesive tape along the perimeter frame edges.

    Press back panel into place

    Align the back cover with the body and press firmly along all edges to seal it.

    Reinsert the SIM card tray
