   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is entirely shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it completely free.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply mild heat using a heat gun across the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes. This softens the light perimeter adhesive holding the back panel.

   Insert an opening pick

   Place a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and the main frame. Gently create a small gap without forcing it too deep.

   Unclip the back panel

   Slide the opening pick along all four edges of the device to release the plastic retaining clips. Lift the back cover off once all clips are freed.

   Unscrew the lower speaker cover

   Locate and remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly housing. Store the screws safely in an organizer tray.

   Remove the speaker housing cover

   Insert a flat spudger under the plastic speaker housing cover. Gently pry up and lift the bracket away from the frame.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pop the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This isolates the power supply during repair.

   Extract the old loudspeaker

   Use tweezers or a spudger to lift the faulty loudspeaker module out of its recessed lower cavity. Be careful not to bend the spring contact pins.

    Clean the speaker recess

    Dampen a cotton swab with 99% isopropyl alcohol to wipe away any dust or old adhesive residue from the speaker cavity. Allow the area to dry fully.

    Install the new loudspeaker

    Place the replacement loudspeaker into the lower cavity. Press gently on its edges until it sits flush against the frame contacts.

    Reconnect the battery press connector

    Align the battery flex cable over its connector on the motherboard. Press straight down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall the speaker housing cover

    Position the speaker housing cover back over the lower assembly. Thread and tighten the Phillips screws until snug.

    Snap the back cover closed

    Align the back cover over the phone body. Apply firm pressure around the outer edges until all plastic clips snap securely into place.

    Reinsert the SIM tray
