   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole on the left edge. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear cover

   Apply heat around the edges of the back cover using a heat gun set to 80°C (176°F) for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the plastic panel.

   Apply suction handle

   Attach a suction handle to the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull gently upward to create a small gap between the panel and the frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the seam gap created by the suction cup. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide additional picks around all four edges of the back cover. Carefully cut through the adhesive along the edges while avoiding deep insertion near the side keys.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover straight up off the chassis. Set it aside on a clean work surface.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom speaker assembly frame. Keep track of each screw for reassembly.

   Remove the speaker assembly

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the lower speaker module and gently lever it up. Lift the speaker module away from the frame.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to gently snap the lower motherboard flex connector off the daughterboard.

    Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable

    Use precision tweezers to pry the antenna cable head straight up from its socket on the bottom daughterboard.

    Pry up the sub-board

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the lower daughterboard containing the primary microphone. Carefully pry it free from the phone frame.

    Transfer the microphone rubber gasket

    Use tweezers to peel the small black rubber microphone gasket off the old board. Align and seat it onto the new microphone board.

    Seat the new daughterboard

    Position the new daughterboard into the lower housing cavity. Press gently around the edges until it sits flat.

    Reconnect the antenna and flex cable

    Snap the coaxial cable connector onto its board terminal, then press the main interconnect flex connector firmly down until it clicks.

    Reinstall the speaker housing

    Place the lower speaker enclosure back into position over the daughterboard. Drive the Phillips screws back into place to secure it.

    Reseal the rear panel

    Apply new adhesive strips along the phone frame perimeter. Align the back cover, press down firmly along the edges, and reinsert the SIM tray.
