   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the tray on the left frame. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

   Warm the back cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low power to heat the outer edges of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the back cover and pull upward gently to create a slight gap.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back cover and the phone frame.

   Slice bottom adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Slice side adhesive

   Guide the pick around the bottom-left corner and up along the left edge of the cover.

   Slice top adhesive

   Continue sliding the opening pick across the top edge of the rear panel.

   Slice right adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick down the right side, keeping the pick shallow near the fingerprint sensor flex cable.

   Separate back cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the phone chassis and set it aside.

    Unscrew top bracket

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper protective bracket over the motherboard.

    Remove upper bracket

    Insert the tip of a spudger under the motherboard bracket and lift it out of the frame.

    Disconnect battery cable

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to lever the battery connector straight up from its socket.

    Unscrew loudspeaker

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker module in place.

    Remove loudspeaker

    Pry up the loudspeaker assembly from the bottom of the device and set it aside.

    Disconnect interconnect cable

    Disconnect the ribbon cable linking the lower sub-board to the main motherboard using a spudger.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Apply 2-3 drops of isopropyl alcohol along the side edges of the battery to weaken the glue underneath.

    Unfasten adhesive pull-tabs

    Peel back the green adhesive pull-tabs located at the edge of the battery.

    Pull adhesive strips

    Pull the adhesive tabs slowly away from the battery at a low angle until the adhesive stretches out fully.

    Pry out old battery

    Insert a flat plastic opening card beneath the battery and gently lever it up from the frame recess.

    Clean battery cavity

    Wipe down the recessed frame area with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove leftover adhesive.

    Apply replacement adhesive

    Apply new custom battery adhesive strips to the underside of your replacement battery.

    Install new battery

    Align the new battery with the cavity and press down firmly to secure it to the frame.

    Reconnect interconnect cable

    Align and press down the lower interconnect ribbon cable into its socket until it clicks.

    Reconnect battery flex cable

    Press the battery connector firmly into its motherboard socket to restore power connectivity.

    Reinstall upper bracket

    Position the motherboard cover back in place and tighten all Phillips screws securely.

    Reinstall loudspeaker

    Place the loudspeaker module back onto the lower section and secure it with its screws.

    Reseal back cover

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive to the rear cover frame, align the cover, and press firmly along all edges.
