   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before beginning.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole next to the card tray on the left side of the frame. Push firmly to pop the tray out and set it aside.

   Heat the rear panel

   Use a heat gun on a low setting to warm the outer edges of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear panel, just above the USB-C port, and pull gently to create a slight gap.

   Insert a plastic opening pick

   Insert a plastic prying pick into the gap created between the rear panel and the phone frame.

   Slice through the rear adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter tape.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex

   Slightly lift the rear panel and use the flat end of a spudger to detach the fingerprint sensor connector from the motherboard.

   Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower loudspeaker bracket.

   Remove the loudspeaker housing

   Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and pry it up to remove it from the phone.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use the pointed end of a spudger to gently snap the main interconnect flex cable up from the sub-board connector.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Grasp the head of the white coaxial antenna cable using fine tweezers and lift it straight up off its terminal on the sub-board.

    Pry out the sub-board

    Slide a flat spudger under the sub-board containing the microphone and carefully pry it out from the bottom frame.

    Clean the frame microphone port

    Inspect the primary microphone hole in the outer frame and clear out any lint or packed debris using a brush or compressed air.

    Install the new sub-board

    Position the replacement sub-board into the lower housing, pressing down gently until it sits flush in the frame socket.

    Reconnect the antenna and main flex

    Snap the coaxial antenna cable onto its terminal, then press the main interconnect flex cable firmly back onto the sub-board.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker cover

    Place the loudspeaker module back over the sub-board and reinsert the seven Phillips #00 screws until snug.

    Reattach the rear cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable, align the back cover, and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive.
