Turn off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off. Do not attempt to charge a water-damaged device.

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

Heat the rear glass panel
2 minApply a heat gun or iOpener around the edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.
