Power Off the Phone

2 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the thin seam between the plastic rear cover and the display frame near the SIM slot.

Unclip the Rear Cover
3 minSlide the plastic opening pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to release all plastic retention clips.

Lift the Rear Cover
2 minGently hinge the rear cover open from the right side like a book. Do not yank the cover off, as the fingerprint flex cable is still connected.

Unscrew the Fingerprint Bracket
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal shield over the fingerprint sensor connector.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable
2 minPry the fingerprint sensor flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger, then remove the back cover.

Unscrew the Loudspeaker Assembly
3 minRemove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly to the bottom of the phone chassis.

Remove the Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert the edge of a spudger beneath the top edge of the loudspeaker housing and lift it out of the frame.

Clean the Speaker Mesh
2 minInspect the phone's lower frame mesh opening and use tweezers or a brush to clear away any accumulated dust or debris.

Install the New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module over the bottom cavity and press down until it clicks securely into position.

Secure the Loudspeaker Screws
3 minReinstall the seven Phillips #00 screws to firmly fasten the new loudspeaker module to the phone frame.

Reconnect the Fingerprint Cable
2 minPosition the rear cover close to the phone and press the fingerprint flex cable connector into its motherboard socket until it snaps in.

Reinstall the Metal Bracket
2 minPlace the metal fingerprint connector bracket back over the flex connector and secure it with its single Phillips #00 screw.

Snap the Rear Cover On
2 minAlign the back cover with the phone body and press firmly along all edges until every clip snaps shut.

Reinsert the SIM Tray
1 minOrient the SIM card tray correctly and slide it into the slot until it sits flush with the frame.
