Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Remove SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Push inward firmly to eject the tray and pull it completely out.

Heat Rear Panel
2 minApply heat evenly around the outer edges of the rear panel using a heat gun on low power for two minutes. This softens the factory back cover adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction cup on the lower section of the back panel near the charging port. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small gap between the panel and the frame.

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
4 minInsert a thin plastic pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around the perimeter of the rear panel to slice through the adhesive.

Remove Back Cover
2 minGently lift the back panel off the chassis. Set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew Lower Bracket Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker housing bracket to the frame.

Pry Up Speaker Assembly
2 minInsert the flat tip of a spudger under the notch of the lower speaker assembly. Gently lever it upward to unclip it from the phone frame.

Clean Assembly Cavity
2 minUse tweezers to clear out any leftover adhesive strips or debris from the speaker bay. Ensure the contact pads on the sub-board are clean.

Insert New Speaker Module
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the lower housing cavity. Press down gently until the module seats flush and clips into place.

Reinstall Housing Screws
3 minReplace and tighten the Phillips #000 screws into the speaker cover assembly until snug. Do not overtighten.

Apply Rear Panel Adhesive
4 minApply new double-sided adhesive strips along the perimeter of the phone chassis. Align the back cover accurately and press it down along all edges.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minSlide the SIM tray back into its slot on the side of the device until it sits flush.
