   Power off the Motorola G15

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer to the edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the cover to the frame.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear cover. Press down firmly to create a tight seal.

   Slice the rear cover adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick into the seam. Slide the pick along the edges to slice through the softened adhesive.

   Lift the back cover

   Gently swing open the rear cover from the right edge like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet, as a flex cable is still attached.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable

   Use the pointed end of a spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor press connector straight up off its socket. Set the rear cover aside.

   Remove motherboard cover screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield. Keep track of all screws for reassembly.

   Pry up the motherboard cover

   Insert a spudger beneath the edge of the motherboard cover and gently pry it up. Lift the cover off the phone frame and remove it.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This cuts power to the rest of the board.

    Unscrew the bottom speaker module

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the frame. Set the screws aside separately from the top screws.

    Remove the bottom speaker module

    Insert a spudger under the loudspeaker module and lift it out of the chassis. This exposes the bottom of the battery well.

    Expose the battery pull tabs

    Locate the clear adhesive pull tabs near the bottom edge of the battery. Unpeel the tab ends using tweezers.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery well. Allow it to sit for one minute to soften stubborn adhesive.

    Pull the battery adhesive tabs

    Grasp one adhesive tab and pull it out smoothly at a low angle away from the battery. Repeat for the second tab until the adhesive strips release.

    Pry out the old battery

    Insert a flat plastic spudger under the battery edge and gently lever it upward. Lift the battery out of the frame and dispose of it properly.

    Clean the battery well

    Use a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol to wipe away remaining glue from the housing floor. Let the area dry completely.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Peel the protective backing off the new battery adhesive strips. Apply the adhesive strips evenly onto the back of your replacement battery.

    Set the new battery in position

    Remove the remaining protective film from the adhesive strips on the new battery. Lower the new battery into the housing frame without connecting it yet.

    Connect the battery flex cable

    Align the battery flex connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall the bottom speaker module

    Place the loudspeaker module back into its lower housing slot. Press down until it sits flush against the frame.

    Secure the bottom speaker screws

    Insert and tighten the Phillips #00 screws into the speaker module. Ensure the assembly is held securely.

    Reinstall the motherboard cover

    Align the plastic motherboard shield over the top of the phone and press down evenly until clips engage.

    Secure motherboard cover screws

    Thread and tighten the Phillips #00 screws into the motherboard shield. Do not overtighten to avoid stripping plastic threads.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor cable

    Hold the rear cover close to the frame and snap the fingerprint reader flex connector into its socket.

    Apply rear cover adhesive

    Apply pre-cut adhesive strips or a thin bead of specialized phone adhesive around the frame perimeter.

    Attach and press the rear cover

    Align the back cover with the frame and press down firmly around all edges. Apply light pressure for a few minutes to set the bond.

    Reinsert the SIM card tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until flush with the body. Turn on the device to test functionality.
