Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully powered down before starting.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the hole beside the SIM tray. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

Heat Back Cover
3 minApply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun for two minutes. This softens the adhesive sealing the cover to the frame.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the back cover. Pull up gently on the handle to create a tiny seam near the edge.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created beneath the back cover. Keep the pick flat to avoid damaging internal components.

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
4 minGlide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

Remove Back Cover

Unscrew Midframe Shield
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper midframe plastic shield. Group the screws by size and location.

Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cables
2 minUse the pointed end of a spudger to disconnect the main display and sub-board flex cables from the logic board. Always use non-conductive tools.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minCarefully pry up the small coaxial antenna connectors from the edge of the logic board using fine tweezers. Pull straight up near the head to avoid bending.

Remove Rear Cameras
2 minUnplug the camera module flex connectors from the logic board using a spudger. Gently lift the rear camera assembly out of its recessed housing.

Unscrew Logic Board
2 minRemove the single Phillips retaining screw holding the logic board to the inner chassis. Ensure all flex cables are angled clear of the board.

Lift Logic Board
