   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM card tray. Push firmly to eject the tray, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the rear panel

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on medium heat to warm the edges of the rear panel for two to three minutes. This softens the internal seal adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull up gently on the handle to create a tiny gap between the panel and the frame.

   Insert a plastic opening pick

   Insert the tip of a plastic pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Avoid inserting it deeper than 3 millimeters to protect internal flex cables.

   Slice through perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully around the bottom, left, and right edges to cut the adhesive. Reapply heat if you encounter strong resistance.

   Lift the rear panel

   Swing the rear panel open from the right side like a book. Do not remove it completely yet, as the fingerprint sensor flex cable remains attached.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Pry the fingerprint sensor flex connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger. Set the rear panel aside.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker enclosure to the frame. Keep track of all removed screws.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Insert the flat end of a spudger under the speaker module and pry upward to unlatch it. Lift the housing out of the phone frame.

    Unscrew the mainboard shield

    Remove the Phillips screws holding down the upper protective motherboard cover. Set these screws apart from the speaker screws.

    Remove the mainboard shield

    Use tweezers or your fingers to lift the motherboard shield off the top section of the frame and place it aside.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Pry the battery connector straight up off the motherboard using a spudger. Disconnecting power prevents short circuits while working on electronics.

    Disconnect the interconnect cable

    Pry up the lower connector of the main interconnect flex cable located on the charging port sub-board using a spudger.

    Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable

    Use precision tweezers to gently lift the white coaxial antenna cable connector off the sub-board. Unclip the cable from its routing channel.

    Remove the daughterboard

    Insert a spudger underneath the charging port sub-board and lift gently to unseat it. Pull the USB-C port clear of its frame cutout.

    Install the new daughterboard

    Guide the new charging port sub-board into place, ensuring the USB-C port slides squarely into the frame opening. Press down gently to seat the board.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Snap the coaxial antenna connector onto the matching terminal on the new sub-board. Tuck the cable back into its frame channel.

    Reconnect the interconnect cable

    Align the main interconnect flex cable connector over its socket on the new sub-board and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Press the battery flex connector firmly onto its socket on the upper motherboard to restore internal power circuits.

    Reinstall the mainboard shield

    Position the motherboard cover back onto the top assembly and secure it using the previously removed Phillips screws.

    Reinstall the speaker housing

    Place the lower speaker module back into position over the sub-board and press down until it snaps level. Fasten all bottom screws securely.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor

    Hold the rear panel close to the frame and press the fingerprint flex connector down onto its socket on the motherboard.

    Apply new rear adhesive

    Remove any leftover adhesive strips from the frame edges, then apply new custom pre-cut adhesive tape along the perimeter.

    Seal the rear panel

    Align the rear panel with the phone chassis and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive seal.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left edge of the frame until it sits completely flush.
