   Power Down Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the frame and push firmly to release the tray.

   Heat Back Cover Edges

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat along the rear edges for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Rear Suction Cup

   Press the suction cup onto the lower portion of the back panel and pull up gently to create a small gap.

   Slice Rear Panel Adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it around all four edges to cut the adhesive tape.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear panel completely off the plastic midframe and place it aside.

   Unscrew Midframe Fasteners

   Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the internal midframe.

   Unclip Midframe Shield

   Insert a plastic pry tool under the edge of the midframe and work along the sides to release the plastic clips.

   Lift Off Midframe

   Carefully remove the detached midframe assembly from the phone chassis.

    Disconnect Battery Press Connector

    Use a nylon spudger to gently pry up the battery flex cable from the mainboard.

    Disconnect Display Flex Cable

    Pry up the display flex cable connector located near the bottom of the motherboard using the spudger.

    Heat Front Display Assembly

    Apply heat evenly across the perimeter of the front glass screen for three minutes.

    Separate Screen Glass

    Apply a suction cup to the front glass, pull up, and slide a thin opening pick around the frame border.

    Thread Display Flex Through Frame

    Gently pull the damaged screen assembly away from the frame, feeding its ribbon cable through the slot.

    Scrape Glass and Residue

    Clean remaining glass fragments and adhesive strips off the frame ledge using tweezers and isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply Screen Adhesive Strips

    Lay down fresh precut display adhesive strips along all four borders of the inner metal frame.

    Position New Display Cable

    Guide the ribbon cable of the new display assembly through the frame slot.

    Press Screen Into Frame

    Align the replacement display carefully and press firmly along the perimeter to secure the adhesive.

    Attach Display Connector

    Snap the display flex connector back onto its corresponding motherboard terminal.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Press the battery cable connector flat onto the motherboard until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall Plastic Midframe

    Set the midframe onto the chassis and press along the edges until all plastic tabs snap together.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Thread and tighten all Phillips screws removed earlier to lock down the internal components.

    Reattach Back Cover

    Apply thin adhesive tape to the back panel edges and press the panel firmly onto the rear of the device.

    Reinsert SIM Card Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into the slot until it sits flush with the outer frame.
