Step-by-step

Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out and remove it completely.

Heat the back cover
2 minApply heat around the edges of the rear panel using a heat gun for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Insert an opening pick
2 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge and pull upward to create a small gap. Slide a thin opening pick into the seam.

Slice rear panel adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all edges of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Take care around the power button flex cable.

Lift off the back cover
