   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM card tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the Back Panel

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the rear panel for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the back cover.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up to create a small gap. Insert an opening pick under the plastic cover.

   Slice Back Cover Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the phone to slice through the perimeter adhesive. Take care around the fingerprint sensor region.

   Lift Off Back Cover

   Gently lift the back cover away from the chassis. Clean off any residual adhesive sticking to the inner edges.

   Remove Upper Frame Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield. Set the screws aside in an organized tray.

   Remove Lower Loudspeaker Screws

   Unscrew the Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker housing over the charging port sub-board.

   Unsnap Plastic Midframe

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe bezel and unhook the plastic clips surrounding the frame.

    Disconnect Battery Flex Cable

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard. This cuts power to prevent short circuits.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Pry up the lower speaker module with a plastic opening tool and lift it out of the phone body.

    Disconnect Main Interboard Cable

    Pry up the main flex cable connector from the daughterboard at the bottom of the device.

    Disconnect Coaxial Antenna Cable

    Use precision tweezers to carefully pop the white coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its socket on the daughterboard.

    Pry Up Charging Board

    Gently wedge a flat spudger underneath the charging port sub-board and lift it out of its recess in the frame.

    Position New Charging Board

    Place the replacement charging port board into the lower housing, aligning the USB-C port with the cutout.

    Connect Coaxial Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna cable head over its socket on the new board and press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Connect Main Interboard Cable

    Align the main flex cable connector over the sub-board socket and press firmly until you feel a click.

    Reconnect the battery press connector to the motherboard socket.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker Module

    Position the lower loudspeaker assembly back over the daughterboard and press it flat into the chassis.

    Snap the midframe back onto the phone, pressing along the edges until all clips engage.

    Fasten Frame Screws

    Reinstall all Phillips #00 screws into the upper motherboard shield and lower speaker module.

    Apply New Adhesive

    Apply fresh double-sided adhesive tape or custom precut adhesive strips along the perimeter of the phone frame.

    Press Back Cover Closed

    Align the back cover onto the phone and apply firm pressure around the perimeter to seal the adhesive.

    Reinsert SIM Card Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush.
