   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone and push firmly to pop out the SIM tray.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to heat the back cover perimeter for 2 minutes to soften the glue.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and press down to create a tight seal.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small seam, then slide a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully along the bottom, left, and right edges of the phone to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Lift Off Back Cover

   Slice through the top edge adhesive with the pick and lift the plastic back cover off the chassis.

   Unscrew Motherboard Frame

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield.

   Remove Motherboard Cover

   Insert a plastic spudger beneath the edge of the plastic motherboard cover and pry it up to remove it.

    Disconnect Battery Flex

    Pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard using the flat edge of a spudger.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Frame

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding the lower speaker module in place at the bottom of the device.

    Remove Loudspeaker Assembly

    Pry up the lower speaker housing with a spudger and set it aside to free the lower edge of the battery.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Drip a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom edges of the battery well.

    Pry Out Old Battery

    Insert a flat plastic card under the side of the battery and lever it slowly out of the frame.

    Clean Frame Recess

    Scrape off residual tape using tweezers and wipe the battery compartment clean with an alcohol-dampened cloth.

    Apply New Adhesive Strips

    Peel the backing off new double-sided battery adhesive strips and stick them flat into the battery recess.

    Install New Battery

    Remove the protective film from the adhesive, lower the new battery into place, and press down firmly.

    Attach Battery Connector

    Align the battery flex connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it snaps firmly into place.

    Secure Loudspeaker Assembly

    Reinstall the lower speaker module and tighten the bottom Phillips #000 screws until snug.

    Secure Motherboard Cover

    Position the upper motherboard plastic shield over the board and replace all removed Phillips #000 screws.

    Apply Rear Adhesive

    Apply a thin line of B-7000 adhesive or precut adhesive tape around the perimeter of the frame.

    Seal Back Cover

    Align the rear cover onto the chassis and press firmly along all edges to secure the fresh adhesive seal.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Push the SIM tray back into the card slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush.
