   Power off device

   Press and hold the power button on the right side of the Moto G13. Tap Power Off on the screen to shut down completely.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the upper left edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat back cover

   Apply a heat gun set to low heat around the outer perimeter of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower third of the back cover and press down firmly to create a seal.

   Slice back cover adhesive

   Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a gap, then insert an opening pick under the edge. Slide the pick around all four edges.

   Remove back panel

   Carefully lift the plastic back cover off the chassis and set it aside.

   Unscrew motherboard cover

   Use a Phillips PH00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield.

   Unscrew bottom speaker cover

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

   Remove frame bezel

   Insert a plastic spudger around the perimeter midframe and pop off the plastic housing components covering the top and bottom boards.

    Disconnect battery cable

    Use the flat edge of a plastic spudger to gently pry up the battery flex cable connector from the motherboard.

    Disconnect display connector

    Locate the wide display flex cable on the lower section of the motherboard and detach it using your plastic spudger.

    Heat display glass

    Warm the entire front glass assembly using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the factory screen glue.

    Insert pick into screen seam

    Apply a suction cup to the glass screen near the bottom edge. Pull up to create a small gap and insert a thin opening pick.

    Slice display screen adhesive

    Slide the opening pick continuously around the perimeter of the front glass to slice through all perimeter adhesive.

    Detach broken display

    Lift the damaged display away from the phone frame while guiding the attached ribbon cable carefully through its chassis slot.

    Clean frame bezel

    Scrape away remaining adhesive residue from the inner frame ledge using tweezers and clean with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free wipe.

    Dry-fit new screen

    Thread the ribbon cable of the replacement screen through the frame slot and seat the screen temporarily into place.

    Test display functionality

    Reconnect the display cable and battery cable, then turn on the phone to test touchscreen response and visual output.

    Disconnect battery after testing

    Power down the device completely, then disconnect the battery connector and display connector again.

    Apply screen adhesive

    Apply double-sided display adhesive tape or a thin bead of display glue along the clean frame recessed border.

    Install new screen

    Feed the display cable into the chassis opening and press the new screen firmly into the adhesive channel.

    Reconnect flex connectors

    Firmly press the display flex connector and battery cable connector back into their motherboard sockets.

    Reattach plastic bezels

    Snap the upper motherboard cover and bottom speaker housing back into place and secure all original Phillips screws.

    Secure back panel

    Apply fresh adhesive strips along the rear frame borders and press the back panel firmly onto the chassis.

    Insert SIM tray

    Align the SIM card tray with its slot on the left edge of the phone and press it in until it sits flush.
