   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off to shut down the Motorola G13 completely.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the device to pop out the SIM tray.

   Heat Rear Panel

   Apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the back cover using a heat gun set to low for two minutes.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower third of the plastic back cover and pull upward to create a small gap.

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam opened by the suction cup at the bottom edge.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter factory adhesive.

   Lift Off Back Cover

   Carefully separate the rear panel from the frame and lay it flat on your workspace mat.

   Unscrew Upper Midframe

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the plastic motherboard bracket to the chassis.

   Remove Upper Bracket

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up and detach the upper midframe cover from the phone.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Pry the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Unplug the main flex cable running across the battery to prevent damaging it during removal.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Dispense a few drops of 90%+ isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery to weaken the adhesive.

    Pry Out Battery

    Insert a flat plastic spudger beneath the battery and slowly lift it out from the frame housing.

    Clean Battery Well

    Wipe away residual adhesive from the frame enclosure using a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Adhesive

    Lay fresh battery adhesive strips flat into the recessed battery well and peel off the protective backing.

    Install New Battery

    Align the replacement battery in the compartment and press down firmly to set it into the adhesive.

    Reconnect Flex Cables

    Snap the interconnect ribbon cable and the battery flex connector securely back onto their motherboard terminals.

    Reattach Upper Bracket

    Place the plastic upper midframe cover back over the board and press until it snaps flush.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Reinsert and tighten all Phillips #000 screws into the upper midframe bracket.

    Apply new adhesive tape along the frame perimeter and press the rear cover firmly back onto the chassis.
