   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely powered down before starting.

   Remove the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the device. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

   Create Seam Near SIM Slot

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and display frame right near the SIM card slot.

   Unclip the Back Cover

   Slide the plastic opening pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to unsnap the rear cover clips.

   Partially Lift Back Cover

   Gently tilt open the rear cover from the right edge, being careful not to tear the attached fingerprint sensor flex cable.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pop the fingerprint sensor press connector off the motherboard.

   Remove Upper Shield Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield.

   Remove Upper Motherboard Shield

   Lift the plastic motherboard shield out of the phone chassis using tweezers.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Pry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger to cut power.

    Remove Lower Speaker Screws

    Unscrew all Phillips #00 screws holding down the lower speaker housing over the daughterboard.

    Remove Speaker Module

    Insert an opening tool under the edge of the lower speaker assembly and pry it out of the frame.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Use a spudger to pry up the main interconnect flex cable connector from the lower charging board.

    Disconnect Antenna Cable

    Carefully pry the white coaxial antenna cable head off its terminal on the daughterboard using tweezers.

    Remove Daughterboard Screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw anchoring the charging port daughterboard to the frame.

    Pry Up Old Charging Board

    Insert a flat spudger under the charging daughterboard and lift it out of the phone chassis.

    Insert New Charging Board

    Align the replacement charging board into the lower recess, fitting the USB-C port into its frame opening.

    Secure Daughterboard Screw

    Reinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to fasten the new charging board down.

    Reconnect Antenna Cable

    Position the antenna cable head over its socket on the new board and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Interconnect Cable

    Align the main flex interconnect connector over the board header and press firmly to attach it.

    Reinstall Speaker Module

    Place the lower speaker assembly back over the daughterboard and secure it using its Phillips screws.

    Press the battery flex connector back onto its terminal on the main motherboard.

    Reinstall Upper Shield

    Set the upper plastic shield over the motherboard and tighten all saved Phillips screws.

    Reconnect Fingerprint and Reattach Cover

    Plug the fingerprint sensor cable back in, snap the rear cover around all edges, and reinsert the SIM tray.
