   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Warm Rear Edges

   Apply mild heat from a heat gun to the perimeter of the back cover for 60 seconds. This softens the plastic retention clips and internal frame tape.

   Create Back Cover Gap

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the plastic rear panel and the phone frame near the SIM slot. Slide the pick around the corner to separate the clips.

   Unclip Rear Panel

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges to release the plastic clips holding the cover. Do not pull the cover away abruptly as it is attached via flex cable.

   Open Rear Panel Gently

   Gently hinge the rear panel to the left side like a book. Locate the fingerprint sensor flex cable connected to the mainboard.

   Unhook Fingerprint Cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor press-connector straight up off the motherboard socket. Set the rear panel aside.

   Unscrew Mainboard Shield

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the upper motherboard protective cover. Store the screws organized by size.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Use a plastic spudger to lift the battery connector straight off the motherboard socket. This prevents short circuits during the repair.

    Unscrew Speaker Assembly

    Remove the Phillips screws holding the lower speaker housing to the frame. Keep these screws separate from the upper shield screws.

    Pry Out Speaker Housing

    Insert a spudger under the notch of the lower loudspeaker housing. Carefully pry upwards to release the housing from the chassis.

    Remove Damaged Loudspeaker

    Lift the loudspeaker housing out of the phone. Inspect the contact pins on the sub-board beneath for any dust or debris.

    Clean Speaker Contacts

    Lightly dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and gently clean the golden contact pads on the lower sub-board. Allow it to air dry completely.

    Insert New Loudspeaker

    Position the replacement loudspeaker module into the lower cavity of the phone frame. Press down lightly so the spring contacts align properly.

    Secure Speaker Screws

    Reinstall all Phillips screws into the lower speaker housing until snug. Avoid overtightening to prevent cracking the plastic housing.

    Reconnect Battery Flex
