   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left side of the device. Push firmly until the tray pops out and slide it out.

   Heat Rear Edges

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat around the perimeter of the back cover for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the rear adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and gently pull upward to create a small gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created between the back cover and the phone frame.

   Unclip Back Cover

   Slide the plastic pick along all four sides to unclip the rear plastic shell from the internal frame.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Slightly lift the back cover and use a spudger to pop the fingerprint reader flex connector off the motherboard.

   Remove Upper Bracket Screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the upper motherboard shield cover.

   Remove Upper Bracket

   Pry up the plastic motherboard shield with a spudger and set it aside.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Use the flat edge of a spudger to pry the battery flex cable directly up from its motherboard socket to prevent electrical shorts.

    Remove Speaker Enclosure Screws

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding down the lower loudspeaker assembly over the charging port sub-board.

    Remove Speaker Enclosure

    Pry the loudspeaker housing out of the bottom section of the phone chassis using a spudger.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Pry up the main display and daughterboard ribbon cable connector from the sub-board with a spudger.

    Disconnect Antenna Cable

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its button connector on the sub-board.

    Pry Up Sub-Board

    Insert a spudger beneath the charging port sub-board and gently lever it up from the bottom housing adhesive.

    Insert New Charging Board

    Position the new replacement charging port sub-board into the lower housing slot and press firmly into place.

    Connect Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna connector over its socket on the sub-board and press down lightly until it clicks.

    Connect Interconnect Ribbon

    Press the main interconnect flex cable connector onto the new sub-board until it securely snaps into place.

    Reinstall Speaker Housing

    Set the loudspeaker assembly back into the lower chassis over the new sub-board.

    Secure Speaker Screws

    Replace and tighten all Phillips #000 screws to hold the loudspeaker assembly firmly in place.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Snap the battery flex cable back onto its motherboard socket.

    Secure Motherboard Bracket

    Reposition the plastic motherboard bracket and replace all Phillips #000 screws removed earlier.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the back cover close to the phone and snap the fingerprint sensor connector back onto the motherboard.

    Snap Back Cover On

    Press the back cover firmly onto the frame around all sides until the plastic clips snap shut completely.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot until flush with the outer frame.
