Step-by-step

Power off device
1 minTurn off your Motorola Moto G05 completely before starting the repair.

Eject SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM card slot and press firmly to eject the tray.

Pry up lower midframe
2 minInsert a plastic spudger beneath the edge of the lower housing and pop it free from the phone.

1 minPry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger to eliminate power.

Remove old loudspeaker
2 minGently lift the faulty speaker module out from the lower plastic housing using precision tweezers.

Clean speaker recess
1 minClear any residual dirt or adhesive from the speaker housing cavity using a dry cotton swab.

Insert new loudspeaker
2 minPress the replacement loudspeaker firmly into the lower housing cavity until it sits flush.

Reconnect battery flex cable
1 minAlign the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press down until it clicks.

Reinstall lower midframe
2 minPosition the lower housing assembly back over the bottom of the device and press down to engage clips.

Secure housing screws
3 minReinsert and tighten all Phillips screws to lock the lower speaker housing in place.

Apply back cover adhesive
2 minApply new double-sided adhesive strips or a thin line of B-7000 glue to the outer frame edges.
