Step-by-step

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minPower down the device completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the side of the phone and press firmly to eject the tray.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply a heat gun set to low temperature along the outer edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the rear adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward gently to create a minor gap near the edge.

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic prying pick into the gap and slowly slide it along all four edges to slice through the adhesive seal.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minLift the rear plastic cover straight up off the phone body and place it face down on your workspace mat.

Unscrew the Motherboard Frame
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the upper protective motherboard cover.

Pry Up the Motherboard Frame
2 minInsert the flat end of a plastic spudger beneath the edge of the motherboard cover and lift it free from the phone.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up off its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger to eliminate electrical hazard.

Disconnect Display Cable
1 minUse a spudger to carefully lift and pop the display ribbon cable connector off the logic board.

Disconnect Main Interconnect Cable
1 minPry up the main interconnect ribbon connector that links the logic board to the bottom daughterboard.

Unplug Coaxial Antenna Cable
1 minGrasp the antenna head with precision tweezers and pop it straight up off the logic board terminal.

Disconnect Camera Modules
2 minPry up the press connectors for the front self-camera and rear main camera modules using a plastic tool.

Unscrew Retaining Screws
1 minRemove the remaining Phillips screw holding the logic board down against the internal aluminum frame.

Remove the Logic Board
2 minGently tilt the logic board up from the top edge and lift it out of the phone body.
