   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the power button on the right edge of the phone. Select 'Power off' on the screen and wait for the device to shut down completely.

   Remove SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly until the SIM tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat Rear Panel

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small gap between the cover and the frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Push an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup at the bottom edge. Keep the pick flat to avoid damaging internal components.

   Unclip Rear Cover

   Slide the opening pick around the outer border of the rear cover to release the plastic clips and cut through adhesive.

   Lift Rear Cover

   Carefully pivot the rear panel open from the left edge. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint reader ribbon cable is still connected.

   Remove Motherboard Cover Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic upper motherboard shield.

   Pry Off Motherboard Cover

   Insert the flat end of a plastic spudger beneath the motherboard shield and lift it off the frame.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use the edge of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

    Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Pry up the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector from the motherboard. You can now completely remove the rear cover.

    Remove Loudspeaker Screws

    Unscrew the Phillips screws holding the lower speaker housing to the bottom of the phone frame.

    Remove Loudspeaker Assembly

    Wedge a plastic spudger under the speaker module edge and lift it out of the lower chassis.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Unplug both ends of the main interconnect flex cable connecting the motherboard to the sub-board, then remove the cable.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol to Battery

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery to loosen the underlying adhesive.

    Lift Battery Pull Tab

    Locate the adhesive pull tab on the battery edge and peel it back using tweezers or fingers.

    Pry Out Battery

    Insert a flat plastic opening card beneath the battery. Pry gently until the battery detaches from the frame well.

    Remove Residual Adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive from the battery cavity using a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the protective backing from new adhesive strips and press them onto the underside of the replacement battery.

    Seat Replacement Battery

    Align the replacement battery in the battery well and press down firmly to set the adhesive.

    Reconnect Interconnect Cable

    Place the main display/interconnect flex cable back into position and press its press-fit connectors onto the mainboard and sub-board.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker

    Set the lower speaker module back into the bottom housing and secure it with its original Phillips screws.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the back cover near the device and snap the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable back onto the motherboard.

    Reconnect Battery

    Align the battery flex cable over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

    Secure Motherboard Cover

    Position the upper motherboard plastic shield over the mainboard and tighten all Phillips screws to secure it.

    Apply Frame Adhesive

    Apply narrow pre-cut adhesive strips or frame tape along the edges of the rear housing frame.

    Press Rear Cover into Place

    Align the rear panel with the frame and press firmly along all edges to engage clips and set the adhesive.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the device until flush.
