   Power Off the Smartphone

   Press and hold the power button on the right edge of the Moto G Pure. Tap 'Power off' on the screen and wait until the device shuts down completely.

   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the upper left side of the frame. Push firmly inward to pop out the SIM card tray, then remove it.

   Release the Back Cover Clips

   Insert a thin plastic prying tool into the seam between the plastic back cover and the display frame near the SIM slot. Slide along the perimeter to release the plastic clips.

   Separate the Rear Panel

   Gently unclip all four edges of the back cover. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint sensor flex cable remains attached to the motherboard.

   Unscrew the Upper Shield Bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic motherboard protective bracket. Store the screws in a safe arrangement.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor

   Use a plastic spudger to gently lever up the fingerprint reader flex cable connector from the motherboard. Lift the back cover away and set it aside.

   Unscrew the Loudspeaker Assembly

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the bottom loudspeaker module over the charging board area. Keep these screws separate from the motherboard screws.

   Remove the Loudspeaker Module

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the loudspeaker housing. Pry upward gently to unhook and remove the module from the phone frame.

   Disconnect the Main Flex Cable

   Locate the interconnect flex cable attached to the left side of the sub-board. Pry the connector straight up from its socket using a spudger.

    Unclip the Antenna Cable

    Use fine-tip tweezers to gently lift the white coaxial antenna cable connector straight up off the daughterboard socket. Do not pull on the thin wire directly.

    Unscrew the Daughterboard

    Locate and remove the single Phillips screw securing the charging daughterboard to the phone's plastic frame.

    Pry Up the Charging Board

    Slide a flat spudger underneath the edge of the charging daughterboard. Carefully lever it up to break the light adhesive holding it down.

    Apply Flux to Port Anchor Pins

    Place the removed daughterboard on a heat-resistant mat. Apply a small amount of liquid or paste flux to the solder joints of the broken USB-C port.

    Desolder the Old USB-C Port

    Heat the port solder pins with a soldering iron tip while holding the connector with tweezers until the old USB-C port detaches cleanly.

    Clean Board Solder Pads

    Lay desoldering braid over the board pads and press down with the soldering iron tip to remove excess old solder. Clean the area using an alcohol wipe.

    Solder the New USB-C Port

    Position the replacement USB-C port onto the board pads. Solder the four structural anchor posts first, then carefully solder each pin connection.

    Reinstall the Charging Daughterboard

    Fit the repaired daughterboard back into its lower housing cavity. Secure it into position using its single Phillips retaining screw.

    Reconnect Internal Cables

    Snap the main interconnect flex connector firmly onto the daughterboard socket. Align the coaxial antenna head and press it down gently until it snaps into place.

    Secure the Loudspeaker and Cover

    Position the loudspeaker housing over the sub-board and fasten its screws. Reconnect the fingerprint flex cable, attach the motherboard cover, and snap the rear panel back onto the frame.
