   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the frame. Press firmly to release and pull the tray out.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply heat around all edges of the back cover using a heat gun on low for two minutes. This softens the adhesive bond beneath.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower section of the back cover near the USB-C port to create a seal.

   Create a pry gap

   Pull up on the suction cup to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge.

   Slice edge adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick around the bottom and side perimeter to cut through the remaining adhesive. Keep the tool insertion depth shallow.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the back cover off the chassis completely once all adhesive is severed. Place it on a clean surface.

   Unscrew motherboard cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the upper plastic motherboard frame.

   Remove motherboard cover

   Insert the point of a spudger under the motherboard frame edge. Pry up gently to release the clips and set the frame aside.

   Disconnect the battery

   Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. This cuts power to the phone.

    Unscrew lower speaker housing

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove loudspeaker housing

    Pry the loudspeaker module out of the lower chassis with a flat tool to expose the bottom of the battery compartment.

    Expose adhesive pull tabs

    Locate the flexible adhesive tabs sticking out from underneath the bottom edge of the battery.

    Unpeel adhesive tabs

    Use tweezers to carefully peel back the black pull-tab ends from the top edge of the battery casing.

    Pull first adhesive strip

    Grasp the first pull tab and pull slowly at a low angle away from the battery. Continue stretching until the strip slides out completely.

    Pull second adhesive strip

    Repeat the process for the second adhesive pull tab, pulling steadily without twisting to prevent snapping.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol if stubborn

    If a strip breaks, apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol under the battery edge and let it soak for two minutes.

    Pry out the battery

    Insert a plastic spudger under the side of the battery. Gently lift until the battery releases from the frame.

    Remove old battery

    Lift the old battery out of the chassis and set it aside for proper recycling.

    Clean battery cavity

    Wipe the interior battery housing with a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol to remove leftover tape residue.

    Apply new adhesive strips

    Place new stretch-release adhesive strips onto the back of the replacement battery. Peel off the blue protective backings.

    Install replacement battery

    Lower the new battery into the cavity and press down firmly to secure the adhesive. Ensure proper alignment with the flex connector.

    Reconnect battery flex cable

    Align the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and push down until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall loudspeaker housing

    Position the loudspeaker module back into the bottom frame and tighten its Phillips screws.

    Reinstall motherboard cover

    Place the top plastic motherboard frame back over the board. Secure it using the Phillips #000 screws removed earlier.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Lay fresh pre-cut adhesive tape along the perimeter of the phone housing, pressing it smooth with your fingers.

    Seal the back cover

    Align the back cover onto the chassis and press firmly along all edges. Apply light heat for 30 seconds to lock the seal.

    Reinsert SIM tray

    Push the SIM tray back into its slot on the left frame until it sits flush.
