Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off to ensure the phone is completely shut down.

Remove SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the side of the device and pull out the tray.

Heat Back Cover
2 minApply a heat gun or heated iOpener along the perimeter of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction handle near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up gently to create a gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the back panel and the frame.

Slice Perimeter Adhesive
3 minSlide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to release the adhesive.

Remove Back Cover
1 minCarefully lift the back cover off the chassis and set it aside.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Screws
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker assembly.

Pry Up Loudspeaker Module
1 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the speaker housing edge and pry up gently.

Remove Old Speaker Assembly
1 minLift the damaged speaker module out of the lower recess using tweezers.

1 minPosition the new loudspeaker module in the lower chassis recess and press it gently into place.

Reinstall Frame Screws
2 minDrive the Phillips #00 screws back into the loudspeaker housing until hand-tight.

Apply New Back Cover Adhesive
3 minClean off remaining old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol and lay down new pre-cut adhesive strips around the rim.

Reseal Back Cover
2 minAlign the rear cover with the frame and press firmly along all edges to secure the seal.
