Step-by-step

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out and set it aside.

Heat the Rear Cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the rear panel and gently pull up to create a small gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back panel and the frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the device to cut through the perimeter adhesive seal.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minSlightly tilt the back cover open and use tweezers to carefully disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable.

1 minCarefully pry the coaxial antenna cable connector straight up off the daughterboard using precision tweezers.

Remove Old Charging Port Board
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the daughterboard and gently lever it out of the phone body.

Position Replacement Board
1 minPlace the new charging port sub-board into the bottom cavity, aligning it with the plastic positioning posts.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
1 minAlign the coaxial antenna head over its socket on the new board and press down until it snaps into place.

Reconnect Interconnect Flex
1 minPress the lower end of the main flex ribbon cable onto the new daughterboard socket.

Reinstall Speaker Assembly
2 minSet the speaker module back over the daughterboard and secure it with the Phillips #00 screws.

3 minApply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips around the perimeter of the frame and firmly press the rear panel down.
