Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone and push firmly to pop out the SIM card tray.

Heat the back cover
2 minApply gentle heat along the perimeter of the back cover using a heat gun for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear cover and pull upward gently to create a seam.

Insert an opening pick
2 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the seam created between the rear panel and the phone frame.

Slice the back adhesive
3 minRun the opening pick around all four edges to release the adhesive strips and plastic clips holding the back cover.

Remove the back cover

3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws holding down the lower speaker assembly housing.

2 minClear out any remaining adhesive or dust from the speaker recess using a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

Position the new loudspeaker
2 minPlace the new loudspeaker module into the bottom recess, ensuring the gold contact pads align properly with the frame.

Reconnect the battery cable
1 minAlign the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Align the lower speaker cover
1 minSet the plastic lower speaker housing back over the bottom assembly and press down gently until it aligns flush.
