   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the bottom edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply a heat gun set to 80°C (176°F) to the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the panel.

   Attach suction cup to back glass

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull up gently on the handle to create a small gap between the glass and the frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created by the suction cup. Do not slide it in deeper than 3 mm to avoid damaging underlying flex cables.

   Slice the rear adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back panel to slice through the adhesive. Reapply heat if you feel significant resistance.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the back cover off the phone frame. Set it aside on a clean, soft surface.

   Unscrew motherboard bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper midframe shield over the motherboard.

   Remove motherboard shield

   Use a spudger to gently pry up and detach the plastic motherboard shield. Lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Locate the battery flex cable connector on the motherboard. Pry it straight up with a plastic spudger to disconnect power.

    Unscrew speaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Insert the tip of a spudger under the edge of the speaker housing and pop it out of the frame.

    Disconnect display flex cable

    Pry up the display connector from the daughterboard/motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.

    Heat the display screen

    Apply heat to the front screen edges for 2-3 minutes using a heat gun to soften the strong display adhesive.

    Attach suction cup to screen

    Press the suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the cracked screen and pull upward to lift the glass slightly.

    Slice front screen adhesive

    Insert an opening pick under the display glass and slowly glide it along the perimeter to slice the screen adhesive.

    Lift off the damaged screen

    Thread the display flex cable through the frame cutout as you carefully separate the old screen from the body.

    Clean frame adhesive residue

    Apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to a cleaning cloth and scrape away all remaining adhesive and glass bits from the frame ledge.

    Apply display adhesive strips

    Align and press fresh custom-cut adhesive strips onto the clean perimeter of the phone frame.

    Test the new display

    Feed the new screen flex cable through the frame, connect it along with the battery flex cable, and power on the phone to verify touch and display function.

    Secure new screen to frame

    Disconnect the battery, peel off the adhesive protective backing, align the screen carefully, and press it firmly into the frame.

    Reconnect flex cables

    Firmly snap the display flex connector and battery flex connector back onto their motherboard sockets.

    Reinstall internal covers and screws

    Position the speaker housing and motherboard shield back onto the chassis and tighten all Phillips screws securely.

    Seal the back cover

    Apply new rear adhesive strips, align the back glass, and press down evenly around all edges to seal the device.
