   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole next to the SIM card tray at the bottom of the device. Push firmly until the tray pops out and remove it completely.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply a heat gun or warm heating pad set to 80°C (176°F) to the outer edges of the back panel for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive seal.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear panel and gently pull upward to create a small gap along the bottom seam.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the rear cover and the outer frame.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive strips.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover straight off the chassis and lay it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the lower speaker enclosure

   Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly.

   Remove the loudspeaker module

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the edge of the speaker module and pry upward to remove it.

   Disconnect the battery flex cable

   Pry the battery connector off the motherboard using a plastic spudger to ensure power is completely cut.

    Disconnect the main interconnect flex

    Use a plastic spudger to pop off the lower end of the ribbon cable connecting the daughterboard to the motherboard.

    Disconnect the antenna cables

    Use fine tweezers to carefully unclip the RF coaxial antenna connectors from the daughterboard sockets.

    Remove the microphone daughterboard

    Lever the bottom daughterboard containing the primary microphone assembly out of its recessed slot in the frame.

    Position the new microphone board

    Set the replacement daughterboard into the lower housing, ensuring the microphone port aligns perfectly with the frame hole.

    Reconnect antenna and main flex cables

    Snap the RF coaxial cables into place with tweezers and press down the main interconnect ribbon connector.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker housing

    Align the lower speaker module over the sub-board and drive in all the Phillips screws until snug.

    Apply new back cover adhesive

    Clean remaining old glue with isopropyl alcohol, stick pre-cut adhesive strips along the frame perimeter, and press the back cover tightly to seal.
