   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Shut Down on the screen. Ensure the device is fully powered down before continuing.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the tray release hole on the frame. Press firmly to pop out the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply a heat gun or heated pad around the edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach suction handle

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull upward gently to create a slight gap along the edge.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide an opening pick into the gap created between the glass rear cover and the frame.

   Slice back panel adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back glass to slice through the factory adhesive strip.

   Remove the back panel

   Lift the rear cover straight off the chassis and set it aside safely.

   Unscrew motherboard bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the upper motherboard cover board.

   Remove motherboard bracket

   Gently lift the upper plastic motherboard bracket away using precision tweezers.

    Disconnect battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable press connector straight up out of its socket.

    Unscrew loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding down the lower loudspeaker housing at the bottom of the device.

    Remove loudspeaker assembly

    Pry up the loudspeaker module using a flat spudger and set it aside.

    Apply adhesive remover

    Apply a few drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery to dissolve the underlying glue.

    Pry out old battery

    Insert a wide plastic opening card under the battery and carefully pry upward until it releases from the frame.

    Clean adhesive residue

    Wipe away residual glue from the battery compartment using a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Place pre-cut battery adhesive strips onto the floor of the empty battery housing and peel off the protective backing.

    Insert replacement battery

    Position the new battery in the frame and press down firmly to secure it to the adhesive.

    Connect new battery cable

    Align the battery flex cable connector over its socket and press straight down until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall loudspeaker assembly

    Set the loudspeaker module back onto the lower frame and re-tighten its retaining screws.

    Reinstall motherboard bracket

    Place the upper motherboard shield back into position and secure it with the reserved screws.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Line the perimeter of the inner frame with a fresh pre-cut back panel adhesive gasket.

    Press back panel into place

    Align the back glass with the chassis and apply even pressure around all edges to re-establish the seal.
