   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom of the phone. Push inward firmly to eject the SIM card tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear glass edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat for two minutes along the edges of the back cover. This softens the adhesive securing the rear glass.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the glass back cover. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the back glass near the USB port. Avoid inserting it too deep to prevent damaging internal flex cables.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom, sides, and top edges to slice through the perimeter adhesive. Reapply heat if the adhesive hardens.

   Lift off the rear glass cover

   Gently lift the rear glass panel away from the frame. Set the glass panel aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the ten screws securing the upper midframe cover and wireless charging coil.

   Remove the wireless charging coil

   Use a spudger to gently pry up the edges of the upper midframe assembly. Remove the wireless charging coil and midframe cover from the phone.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector directly off its socket on the motherboard. Disconnecting power prevents electrical short circuits.

    Unscrew the lower speaker housing

    Remove the six Phillips #000 screws securing the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the loudspeaker assembly

    Insert a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker housing and pry upward. Lift the speaker assembly out of the phone body.

    Disconnect the main interconnect flex cable

    Use the spudger to disconnect the lower end of the main motherboard interconnect flex cable from the daughterboard.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Pry up the display flex cable connector located on the left side of the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to carefully snap off the white and black coaxial antenna cables from the daughterboard. Pry near the connectors to avoid snapping the wires.

    Remove the daughterboard screw

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw securing the charging port daughterboard to the chassis.

    Pry out the faulty daughterboard

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard and gently pry it out of the recessed housing. Remove the board from the device.

    Position the new charging port board

    Align the new charging port daughterboard with the housing slots at the bottom of the frame. Press down gently until it sits flush.

    Secure the daughterboard screw

    Replace and tighten the single Phillips #000 screw to hold the daughterboard firmly in place.

    Reconnect coaxial antenna cables

    Carefully align the coaxial cable heads over their daughterboard sockets and snap them gently into place with tweezers.

    Reconnect interconnect and display flex cables

    Align and press down on the main interconnect flex connector and display flex connector until they click onto the daughterboard.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker assembly

    Lower the loudspeaker housing back over the daughterboard area and press it down flush into place.

    Tighten the loudspeaker screws

    Insert and tighten the six Phillips #000 screws to secure the loudspeaker assembly.

    Reconnect the battery flex cable

    Align the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press straight down until it snaps securely.

    Reinstall the top midframe and coil

    Place the upper midframe cover and wireless charging coil over the motherboard. Reinstall and tighten the ten Phillips #000 screws.

    Clean old glass adhesive

    Use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to strip away residual adhesive along the frame and back glass edges.

    Apply new back cover adhesive

    Peel and align fresh adhesive strips along the perimeter of the frame. Remove the protective film backing.

    Reattach rear glass cover

    Align the rear glass cover accurately with the body and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the bottom frame until flush.
