   Eject SIM tray

   Insert the SIM eject tool into the pinhole next to the SIM tray on the bottom frame. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat rear cover

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun set to low heat for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the rear panel.

   Attach suction cup to back panel

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the heated rear cover. Pull gently upward to create a slight gap between the glass panel and frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the back cover. Take care not to insert it deeper than 3mm to avoid damaging internal ribbons.

   Slice rear panel adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Apply light heat again if you feel resistance.

   Remove rear cover

   Lift the rear cover carefully away from the frame. Set the back panel aside in a safe, dust-free area.

   Unscrew motherboard bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield.

   Detach motherboard shield

   Pry up the edge of the plastic motherboard shield with a spudger and lift it out of the device body.

   Use the pointed end of a plastic spudger to pop the battery flex connector straight up from its socket. This cuts power to prevent short circuits.

    Unscrew lower speaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips screws holding down the bottom loudspeaker module.

    Insert a spudger under the notch of the speaker housing and gently lift it out of the chassis frame.

    Heat front display glass

    Use a heat gun to heat the perimeter of the cracked front display screen for two to three minutes.

    Attach suction cup to screen

    Affix a heavy-duty suction cup to the bottom glass area of the front display.

    Pull up on the suction cup and push a thin opening pick between the front glass bezel and the metal midframe.

    Slice display perimeter adhesive

    Guide opening picks along all four edges of the front panel to separate the screen from the midframe.

    Remove screen assembly

    Lift the display assembly away from the frame while carefully guiding the ribbon cable through the frame slot.

    Clean chassis frame

    Scrape off residual glue and glass particles from the chassis perimeter using isopropyl alcohol and tweezers.

    Apply display adhesive strips

    Line the clean inner ledge of the phone frame with fresh pre-cut adhesive strips, pressing them firmly into place.

    Mount replacement screen

    Feed the new screen's flex cable through the midframe slot and press the screen flat onto the adhesive border.

    Connect display cable

    Align and press down on the screen flex connector until it snaps into the motherboard socket.

    Snap the battery connector back onto its motherboard socket using a soft press of your thumb.
