   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the side of the device. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply a heat gun or iOpener around the edges of the back panel for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the back cover to the frame.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower portion of the heated back panel. Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap along the seam.

   Slice the back panel adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick along all four edges to slice through the perimeter adhesive.

   Remove the rear panel

   Lift the rear panel away from the frame carefully. Set the panel aside in a clean, dust-free area.

   Remove the lower speaker screws

   Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover to the chassis.

   Detach the loudspeaker housing

   Insert a flat plastic spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker module. Pry gently up to unclip and remove the housing.

   Unplug the main flex cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the interconnect flex cable connector straight up off the daughterboard.

   Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

   Use fine tweezers to gently lift the white and black coaxial antenna connectors straight up from the daughterboard.

    Remove the charging board screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips screw holding the charging port sub-board to the phone chassis.

    Pry out the old charging port board

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard edge near the bottom frame. Pry up carefully to release the board from its recess.

    Clean adhesive from the chassis

    Apply a drop of isopropyl alcohol to a lint-free cloth and wipe away old adhesive residue around the lower frame cavity.

    Insert the new charging port board

    Align the replacement charging board into the lower housing recess. Press down gently until it sits completely flush.

    Secure the charging board screw

    Reinstall the small Phillips screw to fasten the new daughterboard securely to the frame.

    Reattach the antenna coaxial cables

    Align the coaxial cable connectors over their daughterboard sockets and snap them into place using tweezers.

    Plug in the main flex cable

    Position the main interconnect flex cable connector directly over its socket and press firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker housing

    Position the loudspeaker module over the daughterboard, press it into place, and tighten all the retaining screws.

    Reseal the back panel

    Apply pre-cut adhesive tape to the frame, align the rear panel, and press firmly around the edges to seal the phone.
