   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the top frame. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun around all edges of the rear panel for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the bottom center of the heated rear glass panel. Pull up gently to create a slight gap at the seam.

   Insert opening pick

   1 min

   Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the seam created near the bottom edge. Do not push deeper than 3 mm.

   Slice rear adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive completely.

   Lift off back cover

   Carefully lift the rear panel away from the frame. Set the back panel aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew lower speaker module

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower speaker assembly.

   Pry up lower speaker assembly

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the notch of the speaker housing and gently lift it out of the frame.

    Disconnect the battery flex cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a spudger.

    Disconnect main flex cable from sub-board

    Use a plastic spudger to detach the main interconnect flex cable press connector from the bottom daughterboard.

    Unclip the white antenna cable

    Gently pry the white coaxial antenna head straight up from its socket on the charging board using fine tweezers.

    Unclip the black antenna cable

    Pry the black coaxial antenna connector off the charging daughterboard with your tweezers.

    Remove sub-board screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the charging port daughterboard to the plastic frame.

    Remove old charging port daughterboard

    Wedge a spudger beneath the daughterboard and lift the assembly out of the lower recess.

    Set new daughterboard into frame

    Align the replacement USB-C daughterboard over its recess and press it flat into position.

    Fasten daughterboard screw

    Reinstall and tighten the single Phillips #00 retaining screw on the lower daughterboard.

    Reconnect white antenna cable

    Align the white antenna connector over its socket on the new sub-board and snap it down gently using tweezers.

    Reconnect black antenna cable

    Position the black antenna head over the adjacent socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect main flex cable

    Align the main interconnect flex connector over the daughterboard socket and press down until it clicks.

    Reconnect battery flex cable

    Snap the main battery press connector back onto its terminal on the motherboard.

    Reinstall lower speaker housing

    Position the speaker module over the sub-board area and press down evenly until flush.

    Secure speaker screws

    Thread and tighten all seven Phillips #00 screws to hold the speaker housing in place.

    Apply fresh back panel adhesive

    Peel and lay fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter frame edges, removing protective film backings.

    Press back panel into place

    Align the rear glass cover with the edges and press down firmly around all borders to secure the seal.

    Reinsert SIM tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the top frame until it sits fully flush.
