Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

Remove the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole adjacent to the SIM tray. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

Remove the original sub-board
2 minGently wedge a flat spudger underneath the microphone sub-board and lift it out of the bottom cavity.

Install the new sub-board
2 minAlign the replacement sub-board containing the new microphone into the lower frame recess and press it into place.

Reconnect the antenna and interconnect cables
2 minSnap the antenna connectors back onto the sub-board terminals and reconnect the main interconnect flex cable.

Reconnect the battery flex cable

Reinstall the lower speaker housing
