   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the bottom frame. Push firmly to eject the tray and set it aside.

   Heat the back panel

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to warm the outer edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the internal waterproof adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Pull gently upward to create a slight gap between the panel and frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 mm to avoid damaging inner flex cables.

   Slice adhesive seals

   Slide the pick carefully along all four edges of the phone to cut through the remaining adhesive. Apply additional heat if resistance is met.

   Lift the rear cover

   Gently lift the back cover away from the phone body. Set the rear panel aside on a clean workspace.

   Unscrew top bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield and wireless charging pad.

   Remove wireless coil assembly

   Use a spudger to gently pry up the edges of the top protective cover and attached wireless charging coil. Lift the assembly out of the frame.

    Disconnect battery cable

    Locate the battery flex connector on the motherboard. Pry it straight up with a plastic spudger to prevent electrical shorts.

    Disconnect button flex connector

    Locate the power and volume button flex cable connector on the side of the main board. Pop the connector up from its socket using a spudger.

    Unscrew button bracket

    Remove the small Phillips screw securing the metal retaining bracket over the internal side-button assembly.

    Extract power button flex

    Use precision tweezers to lift the metal support plate and peel the button flex cable away from the inner sidewall.

    Position new button flex

    Align the replacement power button flex cable onto the guide pins inside the side frame channel. Press lightly to stick it into position.

    Secure metal bracket

    Place the metal retaining bracket over the flex assembly and tighten the Phillips screw until snug.

    Plug in button flex

    Align the power button flex connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it clicks into place.

    Press the battery flex connector straight down onto its motherboard socket.

    Reinstall top bracket

    Clean remaining old glue with isopropyl alcohol, then apply new pre-cut adhesive tape along the frame perimeter. Lower the back cover into place and press firmly along the edges.
