   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole next to the SIM tray at the bottom edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then pull it completely away from the phone.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive. Keep the heat source moving constantly to avoid scorching the glass.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower section of the back panel near the bottom edge. Pull up on the suction cup handle to create a small gap between the glass and the frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created by the suction cup. Do not slide the pick in deeper than 3 millimeters to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Use additional picks in each corner to keep the glass from re-adhering.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Lift the rear glass cover straight off the chassis and set it aside on a clean surface. Use isopropyl alcohol to clean residual glue off the frame and panel.

   Unscrew Loudspeaker Cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the lower speaker housing over the sub-board. Keep track of each screw for reassembly.

   Remove Loudspeaker Module

   Insert the flat tip of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker module and carefully pry it up. Lift the speaker away from the chassis to reveal the bottom sub-board.

   Disconnect Main Flex Cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry straight up on the main interconnect flex cable connector attached to the daughterboard. Never pry against board components directly.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables

    Use fine tweezers to unsnap the two coaxial antenna cable heads from their connectors on the sub-board. Lift straight up near the metal connectors to avoid damaging the sockets.

    Pry Up Old Sub-Board

    Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the sub-board assembly containing the primary microphone. Carefully leverage it up out of the bottom housing.

    Transfer Rubber Microphone Gasket

    Inspect the old microphone module for a soft rubber microphone gasket and remove it using tweezers. Place the rubber gasket accurately onto the port of the new microphone sub-board.

    Install New Sub-Board

    Place the replacement sub-board into the bottom chassis recess. Press down gently around the edges until it sits flush against the frame.

    Reconnect Antenna Cables

    Align the antenna coaxial cable heads over their sub-board terminals and snap them down securely with tweezers. Route the fine cables into their designated side grooves in the frame.

    Reconnect Main Flex Cable

    Align the main interconnect flex cable press connector over its sub-board socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker Module

    Lower the loudspeaker housing back over the sub-board and press it into position. Replace and tighten the Phillips screws to secure the assembly.

    Apply Fresh Adhesive

    Line the perimeter of the frame with pre-cut back cover adhesive strips. Peel off the clear backing film to expose the sticky surface.

    Reattach Back Glass

    Align the rear panel with the frame and press it down securely. Apply firm pressure along all edges for 1-2 minutes to complete the seal.
