   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off on the screen.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray at the bottom and push gently to eject it.

   Heat the rear glass cover

   Use a heat gun on low setting to heat the perimeter of the back glass for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass cover.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup and slide an opening pick into the seam between the back cover and the chassis.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the factory adhesive.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Move the pick along the left and right edges, heating again briefly if resistance is met.

   Slice the top adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick around the top perimeter of the rear panel.

   Lift away the rear glass

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis and lay it aside on your clean workspace mat.

    Unscrew the speaker housing

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker module and lift it out of the phone.

    Disconnect the interconnect flex cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry up the main motherboard-to-sub-board flex cable connector.

    Disconnect the coaxial antenna cables

    Use precision tweezers to carefully pop off the white and black antenna cable heads from the daughterboard.

    Unscrew the sub-board

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the charging port sub-board to the frame.

    Remove the old charging sub-board

    Gently pry up the damaged charging port sub-board using a plastic tool and lift it out.

    Install the new charging sub-board

    Align the replacement charging port sub-board into its slot in the lower chassis and press it into place.

    Secure the sub-board screw

    Reinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to hold the new sub-board in place.

    Reconnect the coaxial antennas

    Snap the black and white antenna cable connectors securely onto their designated headers on the sub-board.

    Reconnect the main flex cable

    Press the interconnect flex cable connector straight down onto the new sub-board until it clicks.

    Reinstall the speaker housing

    Place the loudspeaker housing back over the lower section and tighten all Phillips #00 screws.

    Apply new back cover adhesive

    Clean off old glue residue with isopropyl alcohol and lay down a fresh strip of pre-cut back cover adhesive.

    Reattach the rear glass

    Align the back glass over the frame and press firmly around all edges to secure the seal.
