   Power off device and remove SIM tray

   Turn off your Motorola Moto Edge 20 Lite completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the left edge to remove the SIM card tray.

   Heat the rear cover edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on medium setting to warm the outer edges of the back panel for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the panel.

   Attach suction cup to rear cover

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a tiny gap between the cover and the frame.

   Slice through back cover adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick along all four edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

   Remove the rear panel

   Lift the rear cover straight off the chassis once all adhesive is severed. Set the back panel aside on a clean surface.

   Remove lower speaker screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic speaker cover at the bottom of the device.

   Detach the speaker assembly

   Insert a flat spudger under the lower edge of the speaker housing. Carefully pry up and remove the speaker cover to reveal the sub-board.

   Disconnect the main flex cable

   Locate the wide main interconnect flex cable connected to the bottom sub-board. Use a flat spudger to pop the press-fit connector straight up.

   Unclip the antenna coaxial cable

   Use fine-tip tweezers to gently lever the antenna coaxial cable connector straight up off the sub-board terminal.

    Pry up the microphone sub-board

    Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the sub-board containing the primary microphone. Pry gently to release it from the light adhesive underneath.

    Clean the acoustic microphone port

    Inspect the microphone channel hole at the bottom of the phone frame. Clear any dust or debris using tweezers or a brush moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Insert the new microphone sub-board

    Align the replacement sub-board into the bottom cavity of the frame. Press down firmly so the integrated primary microphone sits flush against the port gasket.

    Reconnect the interconnect and antenna cables

    Snap the main flex cable press-fit connector onto the sub-board socket. Carefully press the antenna coaxial cable back into its round socket until it clicks.

    Reattach the speaker cover and screws

    Position the speaker assembly back over the bottom sub-board. Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to lock it into place.

    Seal the rear panel with adhesive

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive tape along the perimeter frame. Align the rear cover onto the phone and press firmly along the edges to seal it.
