Step-by-step

Remove the SIM card tray
2 minPower off your Motorola Moto Edge 20 Lite completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the left edge and push firmly to eject the tray.

Heat the rear cover
3 minApply heat to the edges of the plastic back cover using a heat gun on low for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive perimeter.

Remove the rear cover

4 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the upper plastic motherboard bracket. Keep these screws organized for reassembly.

2 minInsert a spudger beneath the edge of the plastic bracket and lift it free from the phone. Take care not to catch any exposed flex cables.

Disconnect the battery cable
2 minLocate the battery press connector on the upper-right corner of the board. Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the connector straight off its socket.

Disconnect the main display and interconnect cables
3 minPry up the display flex cable connector and the lower interconnect flex cable connector from the board using a plastic spudger.

Disconnect the side key and fingerprint cable
2 minUnplug the side button ribbon cable connector attached near the edge of the logic board using your spudger.

Unplug the antenna coaxial cables
3 minGently lift the heads of the white and black antenna coaxial cables off their board sockets using precision tweezers.

Remove the logic board screw
2 minRemove the single Phillips #000 screw anchoring the logic board directly to the internal chassis.

Lift out the logic board
3 minInsert a plastic spudger under the bottom corner of the logic board and gently pry up to remove it from the frame.

Transfer camera modules to the new logic board
5 minDisconnect the front and rear camera connectors from the original board and press-fit them firmly into the matching sockets on your replacement board.
