   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the SIM tray.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Apply a heat gun evenly along the rear perimeter for two minutes to soften internal clips and light adhesive.

   Pry Back Cover

   Insert a plastic opening pick between the back cover and the main frame, sliding around the perimeter to release plastic clips.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Cable

   Slightly lift the back cover and use tweezers to carefully disconnect the fingerprint reader flex cable from the board.

   Unscrew Mainboard Shield

    Unplug the main sub-board ribbon cable from the daughterboard near the bottom edge.

    Heat Front Glass

    Heat the perimeter of the front screen glass with a heat gun for three minutes to soften frame adhesive.

    Attach Suction Cup

    Press a suction cup firmly onto the upper half of the display panel near the top speaker ear piece.

    Insert Opening Pick

    Pull up on the suction cup to create a seam and insert an opening pick beneath the screen glass.

    Slice Screen Adhesive

    Slide the pick around all four edges of the display to slice through the adhesive seal.

    Remove Damaged Screen

    Lift the screen glass assembly off the frame while carefully guiding the flex cable through its slot.

    Scrape off residual tape and clean the inner bezel ledge with high-percentage isopropyl alcohol.

    Plug the fingerprint flex cable connector back into its slot on the upper mainboard.

    Snap On Back Cover

    Position the back cover over the frame and press firmly along all edges until clips snap shut.

    Reinsert SIM Tray
