Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left edge of the phone and press firmly to pop out the tray.

Unclip Rear Cover
4 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the screen frame and back cover, prying gently along the edges to release the plastic clips.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minSlightly lift the rear cover and use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard.

Remove Loudspeaker Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing.

Remove Loudspeaker Housing
2 minInsert a pry tool under the edge of the loudspeaker housing and gently lift it up to detach it from the phone frame.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minUse a spudger to lever up the press-fit connector of the main ribbon cable from the bottom daughterboard.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
2 minCarefully pry the white coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its socket on the daughterboard using precision tweezers.

Remove Old Daughterboard
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening tool under the bottom daughterboard containing the microphone and carefully pry it out of the recess.

Transfer Microphone Gasket
2 minPeel the small rubber microphone gasket off the old board using tweezers and fit it onto the microphone of the replacement daughterboard.

Install New Daughterboard
2 minSet the replacement daughterboard into its slot at the bottom of the phone, pressing lightly until it rests flush.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
2 minAlign the coaxial antenna cable head over its socket on the new daughterboard and press down gently until it snaps into place.

Reconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minPress the flex cable connector down onto the daughterboard socket until you feel a firm click.

Reinstall Loudspeaker Housing
2 minPosition the loudspeaker housing back over the bottom assembly and push down to seat it properly.

Fasten Housing Screws
3 minThread and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to secure the loudspeaker housing in place.

Reconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minHold the rear cover near the phone body and reconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable to the motherboard.

Snap Rear Cover
2 minAlign the back cover with the phone body and press firmly around the outer edges until all plastic tabs snap shut.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the device until it sits flush.
